November 1, 2022 — The U.S. National Science Foundation announced $30 million in research awards to support new interdisciplinary, fundamental research projects for the Emerging Frontiers in Research and Innovation (EFRI) program — 20 percent of the funding was awarded to UC San Diego researchers.

October 20, 2022 — The Talent Foundry is a new UC San Diego founder, or entrepreneur, focused program, that offers support through campus and regions resources, including referrals to accelerators, incubators, boot camps, as well as other local and national programs.
