The San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) at the University of California San Diego today announced the appointment of Michael Zentner as director of Sustainable Scientific Software, effective immediately.

The Preuss School UC San Diego has been named the top high school in San Diego County for the third year in a row by U.S. News and World Report in the publication’s annual list of “Best High Schools.” Preuss was also ranked the #7 school in the State of California.
With support from the Heising-Simons Foundation, the Division of Physical Sciences at UC San Diego has established the Margaret Burbidge Visiting Professorship. It’s part of an effort to bring eminent female physicists to the university for collaborative research interactions.
