Preuss School Students Organize “A Call for Change”

While high school students across the nation held walkouts on April 20 in honor of the 19th anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting, student changemakers at The Preuss School channeled their efforts into a day dedicated to “A Call for Change.” Organizers created a slate of activities to encourage their fellow students to get involved in driving change for a better future.

Yishi Jin Named to Junior Seau Endowed Faculty Chair in Traumatic Brain Injury

The inaugural chair holder of the Junior Seau Foundation Endowed Chair in Traumatic Brain Injury at the University of California San Diego is Yishi Jin, Professor and Chair of the Section of Neurobiology in the Division of Biological Sciences. Jin’s research focuses on molecular genetic mechanisms underlying the development of the nervous system, and regeneration of wounded nervous systems, with the goal of better understanding human neurological disorders and brain injury.

Campus Survey@Work Results Are In

Each year, UC San Diego employees make their voices heard with the campus Staff@Work survey on topics ranging from treatment from supervisors to campus inclusion. This year, an impressive 63 percent of all staff members (represented and non-represented) took the survey, representing 640 units from across the entire campus.
