Carillon Chimes at UC San Diego’s Iconic Geisel Library Make Telematic Debut at La Jolla Symphony

On Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3, the La Jolla Symphony & Chorus will premiere The Moon in La Jolla, the 2015 winner of the prestigious Nee Commission Award. In addition to the classic orchestral ensemble, the UC San Diego Library’s carillon, which sits atop Geisel Library, will make its debut in the La Jolla Symphony performances via telematic technology.

Philanthropists Evelyn and Ernest Rady Commit $100 Million to Benefit the Rady School of Management

With a $30 million lead gift in 2004, Evelyn and Ernest Rady and the Rady Family Foundation helped establish UC San Diego’s world-class, entrepreneurial business school—the Rady School of Management. They also contributed $5 million toward the expansion of the business school’s campus, and gave other significant gifts to ensure excellence at the school. Today UC San Diego announced that the Rady Family Foundation has made a $100 million commitment to help recruit and retain faculty and fund strategic priorities at the Rady School of Management.

U.S. News and World Report Again Names UC San Diego’s Graduate Programs Among Best in Nation

New PayScale Report Lauds UC San Diego for Earning Potential of Alumni

A new report from PayScale.com lists the University of California, San Diego as the 11th best public university in the U.S. for the average mid-career (15 years of experience) salary of alumni, which is $102,100 per year. The same report also names UC San Diego the 15th best public university for its return on investment (ROI) for alumni who are California residents.

UC San Diego Receives Record 78,056 Freshman and 16,144 Transfer Applications for Fall 2015

The university had the third highest number of applicants among the University of California campuses.
