University of Cambridge Visiting Scholar Reflects on Research Experience at UC San Diego
ProfilesClaire Ping, a third-year PhD candidate in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Cambridge, recently spent four weeks at UC San Diego conducting research as part of the new WongAvery Visiting Scholar Exchange Program, generously supported by Sally WongAvery ’75, Natasha Wong and the Avery-Tsui Foundation. Her time at UC San Diego offered an opportunity to access unique materials in the Library’s East Asia Collection, furthering her dissertation on representations of men and masculinities in contemporary Chinese literature and screen culture.
