Kimberly Prather, a distinguished professor and director of the Center for Aerosol Impacts on Chemistry and the Environment (CAICE) at UC San Diego, leads research into aerosols, both natural and human-originated. She studies how aerosols that are produced from sources such as the ocean seed clouds and influence global climate. It was a good day to show appreciation for the remaining 1% of wetland habitat in Kendall-Frost Marsh Reserve in Mission Bay, San Diego. Over 1,000 volunteers gathered trash, listened to science talks, helped build Native American traditional boats and helped remove invasive plant species.
