Niraj Dangoria has been appointed Vice Chancellor for Operations Management and Capital Programs. Dangoria will supervise a diverse portfolio of critical areas vital to the overall operations of UC San Diego including the Health System. Reporting to the Chancellor and as a member of the Chancellor’s Cabinet, Dangoria will join UC San Diego in July 2024.
UC San Diego Health has launched a new program as part of its sustainability efforts that diverts unused food from the landfill and instead helps those in need.
Roger Hailstork recently rejoined UC San Diego as director of the UC San Diego Bookstore after a decade away. He is thrilled by the changes on campus—everything from new connections to the Divine Nine Plaza—and focused on making sure all students can get academic resources at an accessible price.
This spring, the UC San Diego Police Department was honored by the United States Lifesaving Association with the National Award for Excellence in Readiness and Incident Response.
