Combining current facts and figures with compelling stories of the university community, the yearly publication has become a powerful marketing and promotion tool for many campus sectors. In addition to financial statements covering the entire university and attachments to the UC San Diego Foundation financials for fiscal year 2011-12, the report highlights campus accomplishments and contributions.

Power!Trip Takes Art Lovers on the Ultimate Vacation

For travelers who seek out unique arts experiences, the University of California, San Diego’s renowned multi-arts presenter, ArtPower!, has put together the ultimate vacation package. Artistic Director Martin Wollesen will guide travelers through premiere arts destinations in the U.S. and overseas for in-depth experiences with performances, artists and arts leaders. The excursions, called Power!Trips, are open to the public with the objective of building support for ArtPower!

UC San Diego Rides Wave of Recognition as Top Surfing School

UC San Diego has again been named one of the nation’s best schools for surfing, taking the No. 2 spot in The Surf Channel’s list of top 10 universities for surfers. The channel attributes the ranking to the university’s proximity to the “shreddible” breaks at Black’s Beach and its “epic” surf team, which has won six National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) titles.
