The University of California San Diego Division of Arts and Humanities has completed the Herculean task of appointing the last of three endowed chair holders at the Center for Hellenic Studies, launched earlier this year.
Dr. Seuss fans will not want to miss a book launch on Tuesday, July 28 in UC San Diego’s Geisel Library, to celebrate the release of the new Dr. Seuss book, What Pet Should I Get?. At the event, the UC San Diego Bookstore will be selling a limited number of copies of the new book, which will be released publicly by Random House on July 28.
New rankings name the University of California, San Diego the fourth best public university in the U.S. and the 21st best university in the world. The rankings by the Center for the World University Rankings (CWUR) are based on quality of research, faculty, influence, enterprise and successful alumni.

The Division of Arts and Humanities at the University of California, San Diego will receive nearly $100,000 in funding during the 2015 – 2016 academic year for two proposals aimed to strengthen student retention and success.
