Leading Metabolics Researcher Joins UC San Diego School of Medicine

In a nutshell, a tail made of square, overlapping segments makes for better armor than a cylindrical tail. It’s also better at gripping and grasping. UC San Diego Admits Record 34,652 Freshman and Transfer Students for Fall 2015

The University of California, San Diego has admitted a record 26,502 freshmen and 8,150 transfers for the fall 2015 term. The number of new freshmen is up 1,969 compared to last year and there is also an increase among transfer admits by 874 students.

Statins Linked to Lower Aggression in Men, but Higher in Women

In the first randomized trial to look at statin effects on behavior, researchers at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine report that aggressive behavior typically declined among men placed on statins (compared to placebo), but typically increased among women placed on statins.
