Researchers from UC San Diego and UC Berkeley have identified the seasonal and climate-based cycles of Valley fever, an emerging but dangerous fungal disease spread through dust in the air.
Students and professionals from all over the world travel to San Diego to take English as a Second Language courses offered by the English Language Institute within UC San Diego Extended Studies International Programs. Now, Extended Studies is leveraging cutting-edge research, cognitive science and robotics to help these constituents improve their English language skills.
