A new model of forecasting home prices based on consumer demand predicts that prices for housing will decrease by 5% nationally and 12% in San Diego County by the end of this year. Thanks to a novel drug combination for leukemia pioneered at UC San Diego Health, Jim Plotkin, a father of two and former pro golfer, is now in remission after receiving treatment at Moores Cancer Center. The combination is now the standard of care for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and results in fewer side effects compared to other treatment options. Read More»

Shiley Eye Institute at UC San Diego Health recently unveiled plans for an expanded and enhanced facility at a gathering with UC San Diego leadership and one of the institute’s namesakes, local philanthropist Darlene Shiley. Last year, the campus announced a $10 million gift from Shiley to fund the updates, which will usher in a new era of vision care and research.
