Connie Fey, a programmer analyst in Environmental Health & Safety, was recognized Nov. 7 for her 40 years of service to the university. Fey was one of 507 employees recognized. Together, they’ve put in 7,960 years—or more than 16.6 million hours—of service at UC San Diego, Chancellor Marye Anne Fox pointed out.
The Founders’ Celebration “What R U Doing?” video contest wrapped up last week with a number of outstanding videos capturing life at UC San Diego. Local philanthropist, community leader and UC San Diego supporter Anne Ratner has died at the age of 100. For more than six decades, Ratner has been a beloved volunteer and philanthropist in San Diego, actively supporting numerous arts, sciences, service and Jewish organizations.
