The University of California, San Diego has a message for its students: your emotional wellness is a top priority. The campus offers a variety of resources to help students achieve a healthy and balanced lifestyle, including UC San Diego’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). The goal of CAPS is to support and educate students and to offer a welcoming and confidential space for learning about and addressing mental health issues.
This year, international students at the University of California, San Diego will be celebrating Thanksgiving with host families across the San Diego region. The campus’s International Center is sponsoring the Thanksgiving Exchange Program for the second year due to the program’s success in 2011.
An annual tradition at UC San Diego’s Founders’ Day celebration is to showcase our faculty as they share groundbreaking ideas and the inspiration for what they do. On Friday, Nov. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rady School of Management, six dynamic speakers will each offer an informal ten-minute talk about research happening at UC San Diego that has real impact on everyday life.
Founders’ Day itself is not new at UC San Diego. Launched in 2010 during the campus’s 50th Anniversary, the tradition celebrates the anniversary of UC San Diego’s founding and the innovation that has helped us become one of the top 10 public universities in the nation.
More than 1,700 parents and family members participated in UC San Diego’s fifth annual All-Campus Family Weekend, where students and their parents, guardians and friends gathered to explore all that makes UC San Diego a world-renowned university.
