This fall UC San Diego is among 70 institutions taking part in a five-month-long regional exploration of the intersections between art and science, led by Getty. The sprawling art event—called “PST ART: Art & Science Collide”—extends from Los Angeles to San Diego and Palm Springs.

This fall, the University of California San Diego’s Holocaust Living History Workshop (HLHW) series returns for its 16th season with eight compelling talks that underscore the theme “Violence, Voice and Recognition.” Each event will feature innovative approaches from scholars, writers, and survivors and explore both personal and shared responses to the Holocaust and its far-reaching consequences.
The theme of "Partnership and Collaboration” will take center stage on Thursday, September 18 at UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies Showcase 2024. Hosted in the new 8980 Villa La Jolla Drive building–-just across from UC San Diego's entrance at La Jolla Village Drive—the day's agenda will highlight the various services and benefits Extended Studies offers to support campus and community partners in achieving growth and innovation to meet their goals.
Thanks to a gift from Marco Londei and Liquin Wang—founders of the Farfy Foundation—undergraduate students will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of creating a musical production through a new course in UC San Diego’s Department of Music that will culminate in a student-produced music festival on campus in May 2025.
