San Diego Technology Archive to Expand to Include Additional Tech Sectors

The San Diego Technology Archive was launched by the UC San Diego Library in 2011, on the heels of a discussion between UC San Diego University Librarian Brian Schottlaender and Standish Fleming, co-founder of San Diego’s Forward Ventures and a member of Schottlaender’s Advisory Board.

Rady School of Management at UC San Diego Ranked 23rd in Businessweek’s Part-time MBA Ranking

The Part-Time MBA program (FlexEvening) at the Rady School of Management at UC San Diego has been ranked 5th in California and 23rd in the nation by Bloomberg Businessweek. This year marks the first time the Rady School’s FlexEvening program has been ranked by Bloomberg Businessweek, which publishes its survey in odd-numbered years.

UC San Diego Receives $6 Million Bequest from Cubic Founder and Wife

The University of California, San Diego today announced that the UC San Diego Foundation has received a $6.05 million bequest from the late Cubic Corporation founder Walter J. Zable and his wife, Betty C. Zable. The bequest has been allocated by the Foundation to support endowed faculty chairs in UC San Diego’s Rady School of Management and the Jacobs School of Engineering, to create an endowed scholarship and fellowship program for all students, and provide funds for the UC San Diego Shiley Eye Center.

Clean Energy Program Accelerates the Commercialization of University Technologies to the Market

The Southern California Clean Energy Technology Acceleration Program (SoCal TAP) selected four revolutionary research teams from the University of California, San Diego and University of Southern California to receive $180,000 each in commercialization awards as part of a program overseen by the von Liebig Entrepreneurism Center at UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering.

Robert S. Sullivan, Dean of the Rady School of Management, Assumes Chair of AACSB International

Sullivan, dean of the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego, has been named chair of the AACSB International (AACSB) board of directors effective July 1, 2013, for a one-year term. Sullivan succeeds Joseph A. DiAngelo, dean of the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph's University.

Survivor Beach to ‘SUP-port’ Quest to Conquer Cancer June 2
