Food truck wars at Founders’ Day? You bet! The newest UC San Diego campus tradition has been lightened up with a shorter program and added whimsy to make Founders’ Day a fun, free event for the entire campus community.

Faculty Club Launches Membership Campaign

As part of a new membership campaign launched this fall, university faculty are urged to experience the UC San Diego Faculty Club at no cost. The Faculty Club—the hub of the UC San Diego campus—offers a retreat for friends and colleagues to meet over coffee, lunch or Thursday evening happy hours; special events such as theme dinners, celebrations and holiday brunches; and a venue for lectures and meetings.

Campus Sees Positive Response to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Efforts

During the 2010-11 academic year, UC San Diego enrolled the largest number of new transfers and underrepresented students in its history. From artwork to outreach, the university continued to institute programs and policies aimed at enhancing campus climate and welcoming a diverse community.
