Mobile food pantries have begun to pop up across UC San Diego, offering students a free selection of locally grown, organic produce and dry goods. The goal is to provide undergraduate and graduate students who may be experiencing food insecurity with nutritious sustenance each week.

Rebeca Lopez had never traveled to another state. Her first cross-country adventure brought her to Washington D.C., where she and a dozen UC San Diego undergraduates lobbied congressional representatives and senators in support of the DREAM Act, a bill designed to provide a pathway to citizenship for undocumented young people who were brought to the U.S. as children.

UC San Diego Athletics is on the move. A flurry of activity has begun as the university prepares to transition to National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division 1 competition on July 1, 2020. Four years ago, students voted unanimously in a referendum to support the move to the Big West Conference, which will garner UC San Diego teams unprecedented national exposure.
