Mike Judge and Members of Wong Fu Productions to be Honored by UC San Diego Alumni

June 2, 2015

Distinguished alumni of the University of California, San Diego including filmmaker and animator Mike Judge, as well as all three members of the YouTube sensation, Wong Fu Productions will be recognized during the campus’s annual Alumni Weekend, June 4-7. Also honored will be San Diego Unified School District superintendent Cindy Marten and founder of Realty Changers Christopher Yanov, among others.

UC San Diego Commemorates Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April

This marks the fifth consecutive year that UC San Diego has been named in the top 15 in Peace Corps’ rankings and the ninth straight year that it has appeared in the top 25.

Princeton Review Names UC San Diego Top University for Return-on-Investment

UC San Diego has earned top recognition in The Princeton Review’s new rankings for the return-on-investment the campus offers to students. UC San Diego is ranked the nation’s 31st best college for students seeking great academics, outstanding career preparation and generous financial aid. The campus is also named a great value, taking the No. 21 spot as the best U.S. college for students who are not eligible for financial aid.

UC San Diego Expands Sexual Assault and Violence Prevention Services

After 25 years of successfully helping students, the University of California, San Diego’s Sexual Assault and Violence Prevention Resource Center (SARC) is expanding its services to provide crisis intervention and advocacy to faculty and staff, in addition to students. Due to the expansion of services, as well as a recent call to action by University of California President Janet Napolitano to have a system-wide consistent model for the prevention and response to sexual assault and violence, SARC has changed its name to CARE: Advocacy Office for Sexual and Gender-Based Violence and Misconduct.

Security and Human Rights in Mexico and Central America Focus of UC San Diego Conference Jan 15-16

UC San Diego Recognizes World AIDS Day with Memorial Quilt Display and Other Events

New Global Rankings by U.S. News Name UC San Diego 18th Best University in World

The University of California, San Diego is one of only five top public universities in the U.S. to make the top 20 list in a new ranking of the world’s top 500 colleges. The campus took the No. 18 spot in U.S. News and World Report’s first-ever global ranking of universities which measured factors such as research, global and regional reputation, international collaboration as well as number of highly-cited papers and doctorates awarded.
