SDSC Hosts Computer Science Workshops for Middle-School Students
Science & EnvironmentThe San Diego Supercomputer Center at the University of California, San Diego, in a partnership with selected local middle schools and CONNECT’s Entrepreneurs for Young Innovators program through a grant from The Parker Foundation, has started a series of computer science workshops aimed at getting more minority and female students involved in computing. SDSC’s StudentTECH computing workshops are designed to entice students from middle and high schools to enroll in computer science courses in high school and college.
