New research from Scripps Institution of Oceanography combines nine different datasets spanning two decades to provide a comprehensive look at DDT contamination in Southern California’s ocean sediments and fishes. The team found that DDT concentrations in ocean sediments were highest close to known dumpsites, suggesting the contaminated sediments have mostly stayed put. Read More»
The campus and the city gathered to celebrate the opening of Torrey Pines Fire Station 52, serving the campus, University City and surrounding communities. The School of Medicine has received a five-year, $8 million grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) to study the genetics of substance use disorders.
