A pioneering and comprehensive wellness app, Willo is the first of its kind on a university campus. Developed for UC San Diego students by UC San Diego students, it uses artificial intelligence (AI) to integrate the university's extensive wellness services into a highly personalized, user-friendly platform that guides users toward on-campus services – all free of charge.
In an effort to support outstanding students – and tomorrow’s leaders – Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla established the Chancellor’s Alumni Council Scholarships Match to raise new funds for scholarships endorsed by UC San Diego alumni councils including the Asian Pacific Islander Alumni Council, Black Alumni Council, Chicanx Latinx Alumni Council and the Pilipino/a/x Alumni Council.
Since 2020 when the Halicioğlu Data Science Institute (HDSI) at UC San Diego established its Senior Capstone Program, it has become the premier series for all fourth-year undergraduate data science majors at HDSI – a pioneering interdisciplinary institute advancing data science and AI education within the new School of Computing, Information and Data Sciences (SCIDS) at the university. The program requires all students to undergo a two-quarter research experience with a faculty member or industry engineer before graduating.
