Slideshow Description

Now in its second year, the event invites UC San Diego faculty, staff and students to gather at a 300-foot table on Town Square for an intercultural meal—a shared experience designed to foster connection. The event features live entertainment, interactive activities and engaging conversation, creating an atmosphere of inclusion and belonging.

In the weeks leading up to the event, UC San Diego’s Craft Center hosted opportunities for community members to create and decorate tablecloths. The finished "Community Canvas" was 300 feet long, symbolizing our diverse campus and collective values.

The Longest Table is part of the Tritons Belong initiative, which encourages compassionate dialogue and connection across differences.
