The San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) at the University of California, San Diego, has announced internship opportunities for its 2015 Research Experience for High School Students (REHS) summer program, which places students into multidisciplinary research teams to help them gain experience in selected areas of computational research.
Held last May, the interactive event was part of a new partnership between San Diego’s public radio and TV station and UC San Diego’s Division of Arts and Humanities, designed to bring KPBS members to campus for a first-hand experience of the arts here.

Brian E. C. Schottlaender, The Audrey Geisel University Librarian at the University of California, San Diego, has been named the 2015 winner of the American Library Association’s Hugh C. Atkinson Memorial Award. Schottlaender, will receive a cash award and citation during the 2015 ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco this June.
