The University of California is first in the Top 100 Worldwide Universities Granted U.S. Utility Patents Ranking for 2015. The report, which was released today, is published by the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) and Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO). More than 8,000 students of the University of California San Diego will graduate during the campus’s commencement weekend June 11 and 12, beginning with the All Campus Commencement featuring keynote speaker Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient and founder of the global microfinance movement. The event, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, will mark the first time in 16 years that UC San Diego will convene all of its graduating undergraduate and graduate students for a campus-wide commencement ceremony.

The University of California, San Diego and Centro de Ensenanza Tecnica y Superior (CETYS) of Baja California, Mexico have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen and increase collaboration, focusing on entrepreneurship, innovation and policy. The initiative was formalized March 3 by UC San Diego Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla and CETYS University President Fernando Leon Garcia.
