We continue to monitor the ongoing severe weather from Tropical Storm Hilary. Out of an abundance of caution, the university is encouraging faculty, staff and students who can work remotely today and Monday to do so. If you’re unsure, please work with your supervisors to make that determination. Additional messages will be sent if weather-related conditions require changes to work schedules.
Students who are in summer session should check for information from their instructors for the status of their classes on Monday. For those living on campus, dining remains open, but options may be limited. Students negatively impacted by the inclement weather are encouraged to reach out to VCSA@ucsd.edu to be connected to available support resources.
UC San Diego Health is directly managing its staffing and logistical needs through its command centers. Health system team members will receive specific communication through hospital and clinic leadership.
Your safety is our top concern. Please be aware of changing weather conditions, and make sure you are signed up for Triton Alert Emergency Notifications.
Sincerely,
Pradeep K. Khosla
Chancellor
