A series of tragic, hate-filled events has shaken our country, including two devastating shootings that resulted in the loss of 11 Jewish Americans in Pittsburgh and two African Americans in Kentucky. We join families and friends in grieving the victims of these senseless acts of hatred and discrimination.

As a campus community, UC San Diego joins fellow citizens across our nation and the world in condemning antisemitism, racism and any form of violence directed at others because of their identity, ethnicity, race, religion or beliefs. We extend our thoughts and support to all of our faculty, staff and students, and especially those whose communities are affected.

For those seeking solace, we are here for you. Support resources for faculty, staff and students include Counseling and Psychological Services, (858) 534-3755, and the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, (858) 534-5523.

On behalf of our UC San Diego community, we extend our sincere condolences.
