Campus Community Invited to ‘Celebrate the Good Life’
Health, Recreation and Well-being at UC San Diego invites the campus community to celebrate healthy living May 3 at the inaugural Good Life Festival. The free event will feature exciting activities and games—from human hamster balls in a pool to a climbing wall, music performances and massages—while showcasing the wide variety of resources available on campus to help you live a well-balanced life.
“The goal of the festival is to encourage students and the general campus to think about what ‘the good life’ means to them and what they can do to create it,” said Iris Crowe-Lerma, program coordinator for Health, Recreation and Well-being. “And then to also share the resources and information available on campus to help them to do so.”
Health, Recreation and Well-being includes Counseling and Psychological Services, the Recreation Department, the Sexual Assault and Violence Prevention Resource Center and Student Health Services, as well as the Zone—a wellness lounge that features free programs ranging from yoga and zumba to cooking demonstrations.
