This year's Rady World Fair at the Rady School of Management was a milestone worth reflecting on. With over 400 attendees, the event brought an energy and enthusiasm that filled the Rady East Lawn and left a lasting impression on everyone who was part of it.

What made this year's fair a milestone moment was bringing together undergraduate students, graduate students, and PhD students in one shared space, united by a common purpose. It was a genuine opportunity to bridge communities across all levels of study within Rady, spark new connections, and reinforce what makes this school so special: the people. Events like this remind us that Rady is more than an academic institution; it is a community.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all 400 attendees whose curiosity, warmth, and participation made the day so memorable. The afternoon came alive through an incredible lineup of performances that showcased the depth of talent and cultural richness within the UC San Diego community. A special recognition goes to each of the performers who took the stage and made the experience truly unforgettable:

  • DJ Tsitsi
  • El Arcoiris del Sur (Ballet Folklorico)
  • Turkish Student Association
  • Zor
  • The Beat
  • Mariachi La Joya Del Sur
  • Raas Ruckus

This event would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our dozens of volunteers, including Rady undergraduate students, master's students, Ph.D. students, staff and faculty, who ensured everything ran smoothly and that every guest felt welcomed and taken care of.

We also owe a sincere debt of gratitude to our planning committee, whose vision and dedication turned an idea into a celebrated event: Abbalu (Abbu) Kanno; Amoolya Kant; Sidney Wingert; Gaijin Holquin; Travis Chamberlain; and Ranisha Hernandez. From the earliest conversations to the final moments of execution, their commitment behind the scenes made all the difference.

Finally, we extend our thanks to the diverse campus organizations that joined us and shared their resources and representation with our guests: Raza Resource Centro, Azerbaijani Student Association, Kabigang Philipino, Indian Student Association, the Women's Center, Egyptian Student Association, La Familia de UC San Diego, Turkish Student Association, the Division of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs (GEPA), and Rady Grad Programs. Connecting our Rady students with the broader UC San Diego community is a value we hold deeply, and this year's fair was a wonderful reflection of that.

Here's to the diversity, talent and worldwide connections that make Rady such a remarkable place. Until next time.
