Four Members of UC San Diego Men's Water Polo Team Named to All-Academic Team

The UC San Diego men's water polo team had four players named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-Academic Team, it was announced Friday.

Brian Donohoe, Dane Sequeira and Matthew Michalko were named to the Outstanding Level for holding GPA's of 3.71-4.00. Chris Barton was honored on the Excellent Level for having a GPA of 3.20-4.20.

The Tritons held a 2.99 overall GPA as a team, 16th-best in the nation.

UCSD defeated UC Davis for the team's 15th WWPA title and made its 11th appearance at the NCAA Championship Tournament. The Tritons ended the year at 17-11 overall and accounted for the most wins in a season since 2006.
