Triton U-Pass Celebrates 30 Million Rides

Annually, UC San Diego students use U-Pass to take over 4.3 million bus rides and over 1.8 million trolley rides.

Triton U-Pass< celebrated 10 years and 30 million fare-free rides for UC San Diego students at an event on Library Walk on Jan. 15.

Triton U-Pass offers unlimited access to regional San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) and the North County Transit District (NCTD) bus and trolley and light rail routes during the fall, winter and spring academic quarters to all current undergraduate and graduate students who have paid quarterly registration fees. The program is offered in collaboration with UC San Diego Transportation Services, the Student Transportation Advisory Committee, MTS, NCTD and Triton Transit.
