Malk Hall is an interdisciplinary hub where the Department of Economics will host international dignitaries and experts to discuss pressing real‑world issues. Dean of the School of Social Sciences, Carol Padden, noted the significance of the new building. “This building represents far more than bricks and mortar. It represents belief: belief in the power of ideas, in rigorous inquiry and in the people who advance both,” Padden said.
